Picnic!

In Korea, the school year starts in March (not September). So my schedule changed and I was given new classes. One of my new classes, and my new favorite, is KG5 (4 year olds). They are so cute. The parents are all really sweet. Last week we went to the park for a picnic. We played games, played with bubbles and ate.

Boracay, Philippines

So, I was able to go to Boracay, Philippines the beginning of May. It was beautiful. The best beach vacation I have ever taken. Our hotel was 2 minutes walking distance from the beach. We stayed at a hostel but it was more like a beautiful hut resort. The air conditioner barely worked, but it was still great. But there were 2 great things about it. First, the owner had a 7 month old baby girl, and if you guys know me at all, I am a total sucker for babies. Second, it was a hotel so I met people from all over and became friends with some. That is always my favorite part.

The 5 days was a blur of mango shakes, sand and sail boats. We took a catamaran around the small island. It took 4 hours. It was amazing because the boat was just large enough for the 3 of us girls and the 2 boys who were sailing it. It was amazing. On the trip around, we stopped at a small island. on the island were 2 caves you could go in and swim in the water. It was like straight out of a movie! We also did a little snorkeling.

Another thing we did was Zorbing! it is where you get inside a giant inflatable ball with water and they push the ball down a hill with you inside! So much fun!

As you walk along the beach, there are restaurants, shops and bars. At night, one of the bars had people doing 'fire dancing' where they would swing around balls of fire. The show was great but after they would go to the audience and swing the fire in front of your face! so scary. I didn't want to do it but I had no choice in the matter.

Other than that, we just laid on the beach, swam and ate amazing fruit platters.
